IPL 2020: Cricket fraternity reacts as Delhi Capitals fold for a paltry 110/9 against MI

Skipper Shreyas Iyer was the top-scorer for DC with 29-ball 25.

Bumrah ran through DC's middle-order | IPL/BCCIDelhi Capitals (DC) are facing Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 51st match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

MI’s stand-in skipper Kieron Pollard opted to bowl first after winning the toss and his decision turned to be a great one. From the very first over, Mumbai bowlers wreaked havoc on Delhi’s batting line-up and it continued till the 20th over.

While Trent Boult dismissed Shikhar Dhawan (0) and Prithvi Shaw (10) upfront, Jasprit Bumrah ran through the middle-order with three scalps. Nathan Coulter-Nile (1-14), Rahul Chahar (1-24) also bowled well and chipped in with wicket apiece.

In his second spell, Boult got rid of R Ashwin to finish with the figures of 4-0-21-3. On the other hand, Bumrah conceded only 3 runs in his last over to return with the figures of 4-0-17-3.

It was a listless batting performance from the Capitals. Skipper Shreyas Iyer was the top-scorer with 29-ball 25 as DC’s innings eventually folded for a paltry 110/9 in 20 overs.

Cricket experts were mighty impressed by MI’s herculean bowling performance while they were critical of Delhi batters’ abysmal showing
