Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will clash in the 53rd match of the IPL 2020 on November 1, 2020, to be played in Abu Dhabi. The match will be a day encounter, starting at 3.30 PM IST.
CSK are already knocked out of the playoffs race and will see this as an opportunity to ruin KXIP’s chances as well. KXIP, received a huge setback to their chances when they were handed a big defeat by RR in terms of NRR. Their winning streak was ended by Rajasthan Royals in an impressive fashion and has put their bid to qualify for the playoffs in jeopardy and now KXIP not only needs to win against CSK but also do it in a fashion, that improves their NRR. A loss here will end a dream return run for the Punjab franchise.
But they need not be ashamed of anything, as they found a terrific team combination especially with their two spinners in M Ashwin and Ravi Bishnoi, who will come in handy on the slow Abu Dhabi track and will be helped by the fact that it will be a day game and no dew will come into play.
