Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will clash in the 53rd match of the IPL 2020 on November 1, 2020, to be played in Abu Dhabi. The match will be a day encounter, starting at 3.30 PM IST.

CSK are already knocked out of the playoffs race and will see this as an opportunity to ruin KXIP’s chances as well. KXIP, received a huge setback to their chances when they were handed a big defeat by RR in terms of NRR. They have to win this match against CSK, who have won their last two matches, to stay alive in the playoffs race.

Therefore, here is the TEAM COC presented Predicted Playing XIs for the CSK v KXIP match.

CHENNAI SUPER KINGS (CSK)

Chennai Super Kings are out of the race for playoffs for the first time in their IPL history and hence will be looking to sign off the IPL 13 in winning ways. MS Dhoni has already admitted that they are planning for the IPL 14 in 2021 and now it’s about giving the fringe players some game time.

IPL 2020: Ashish Nehra reckons there won’t be big reshuffle in the CSK squad ahead of IPL 2021

Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran- two stars for CSK this IPL 13 season | BCCI/IPLRuturaj Gaikwad has shown in the previous two matches why he should have been given a long rope from the start. This match might also be the swansong for Shane Watson, as the 40-year-old has struggled throughout the tournament with his fitness and it is evident on the field, that he is quite limited in his movements.

A positive point for CSK has been the performance of Ravindra Jadeja with the bat and what Sam Curran brought to the table with his all-around skills. Deepak Chahar was as good as he can be, but none of the spinners had any impact like Dhoni wanted. This will be their last chance to experiment and give it all looking to end the IPL 13 on a winning note.

KINGS XI PUNJAB (KXIP)

The big news for KXIP could be that Mayank Agarwal might come back to open the innings with KL Rahul. The duo has been dangerous at the top and with Chris Gayle and Nicholas Pooran helming the middle order, KXIP found their perfect batting order since the last 5 games.

Their winning streak was ended by Rajasthan Royals in an impressive fashion and has put their bid to qualify for the playoffs in jeopardy and now KXIP not only needs to win against CSK but also do it in a fashion, that improves their NRR. A loss here will end a dream return run for the Punjab franchise.

KL Rahul and Chris Gayle have carried KXIP batting along with Mayank Agarwal | BCCI/IPLBut they need not be ashamed of anything, as they found a terrific team combination especially with their two spinners in M Ashwin and Ravi Bishnoi, who will come in handy on the slow Abu Dhabi track and will be helped by the fact that it will be a day game and no dew will come into play.

KXIP will give it their all to stop CSK from spoiling their playoffs’ chances.
