Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has showered rich praise on English pace sensation Jofra Archer for his stellar performance for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the ongoing 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In the ongoing IPL 2020, the RR has been not successful as much as Archer is as England’s 2019 World Cup-winning speedster has been in tremendous form and among the top performers in the ongoing IPL 2020 in the UAE with 17 wickets from 12 games so far.
RR couldn’t convert Archer’s tremendous performances with the ball into wins in the tournament and struggling to make IPL 13 playoffs, but the right-arm fast bowler is continued to put oppositions in trouble with his lethal pace and dangerous bounce in the UAE.
Impressed with Archer’s art with the ball in the IPL 2020, Tendulkar took to Twitter and posted a video of him praising the 25-year-old English speedster for RR.
In the video, Tendulkar said: “What I have seen in Jofra is he has looked to get wickets. He is aggressive upfront, he has done his warm-ups and the first over you get to see is 148, 150, 152 (on the speed gun).”
The legendary batsman further added, “He is bowling at a good pace and he is getting batters out, they are not looking to slog and they are losing their wickets. He is actually getting them out. He has been remarkable, the aggression that I have seen in his bowling has been incredible, such a treat to watch.”
He signed off by saying, “It’s a joy to watch. A fast bowler charging in, hitting the deck hard... he is bowling those good steep bouncers, they are not short, they are just off the length.”
