Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) Jofra Archer is known for his athleticism apart from his express bowling and big-hitting with the bat. Archer has shown glimpses of his amazing fielding ability on numerous occasions for England and for other teams in various T20 leagues.
He displayed his amazing fielding and athleticism in the 45th match of the IPL 2020 when RR faced Mumbai Indians (MI). Archer had drawn first blood when he dismissed Quinton de Kock for six in his first spell of 2 overs.

However, his brilliance came in the 11th over, after Ishan Kishan (37) and Suryakumar Yadav had added 83 runs for the second wicket. Kartik Tyagi bowled a delivery on the offside and Kishan took a swish at it, trying to send it over the third man boundary.
Jofra Archer, stationed there, misjudged the ball, coming in initially and then had to dive and caught the ball in his right hand while falling back. This catch was easily perhaps the best of the IPL 2020 tournament thus far. Apart from the catch, the reaction from Archer’s teammate Riyan Parag and bowler Kartik Tyagi showed what an attempt it was and what it meant to the team.
