Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni has a message for the loyal supporters of the franchise. CSK is going through a disappointing season and Dhoni feels the fans are understanding enough to have constructive criticism for them.
CSK has won just three out of 11 matches and they are at the last position in the points table. Their chances for the playoffs are lower than one percent from here. Even if they win all the matches, a lot of results should go in their way to qualify for the playoffs.
In a virtual chat '#GulfKaCall', Dhoni addressed his fans after a difficult season for them. He said, "Well, the CSK fans have been great, and I've always said they are among those who understand their cricket."
"Also the fact that when you are going through a rough patch and the fans who are speaking to you are the real fans. It's not like they won't be disappointed and criticize you. But it's always constructive criticism which really matters. I feel we are blessed to have fans that you really want to have.

"Yes they want CSK to be at the top throughout, and they want us to see keep doing well. But when you are competing against the top seven or eight teams, it's not a guaranteed thing that you will always do. At times you are not at your best, there are conditions not favoring you, and in the game of cricket, we have seen the luck also matters.
"So there will be times when results won't go your way, and that's the time when we come back to the drawing board and we focus more on the process. That's when fans also come in, and the team needs real support of the fans.
"I believe that's what fans have shown, irrespective of the results they are always with us. No matter where we are playing, who we are playing, they are always been there. That's the good thing of having real fans who are always there for you."
Super Kings will next play against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday. In their last meet, Bangalore had defeated them by 37 runs.
