After suffering a 12-run defeat at the hands of Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in a low-scoring affair, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper David Warner said they have to forget this game and move forward.

Chasing 127 to win, SRH got bowled out for 114 in 19.5 overs. Warner was the top-scorer for his side with 20-ball 35. For KXIP, Chris Jordon (3-17) and Arshdeep Singh (3-23) starred with the ball.

"Yeah, it does (hurt a lot). Our bowlers did a fantastic job to restrict them. After the start we got, we took our foot off the pedal. Felt on that wicket it was going to get tougher once the spin came into it. For us, it was about trying to apply pressure up front, negate the swing bowling, but obviously, we did not get across the line. They bowled well with the new ball. Didn't get all the wickets upfront but we brought it back well. Today our bowlers executed the plans well, very happy with them. Just have to forget this game and move forward," Warner said at the post-match presentation ceremony.

Earlier, SRH restricted KXIP to 126/7 in 20 overs as Rashid Khan (2-14), Jason Holder (2-27) and Sandeep Sharma (2-29) produced magical performances.

In reply, SRH got off to a flying start as Warner and Jonny Bairstow put on 52 runs inside the first six overs.

However, Sunrisers’ batting line-up fell like a pack of cards once Ravi Bishnoi dismissed Warner in the 7th over.

With this win, KXIP now have 10 points and are placed at the fifth spot in the points table. On the other hand, SRH are in sixth place with 8 points.

SRH will now face Delhi Capitals in Dubai on Tuesday (October 27).
