Mumbai Indians (MI) fast bowler Trent Boult on Friday (October 23) wreaked havoc on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batting line-up to lead the foundation for his team’s resounding 10-wicket victory at Sharjah.
Boult scalped four wickets, three in the powerplay, by conceding only 18 runs in his four overs as MI restricted CSK to a paltry 114/9 in 20 overs.
After the match, Boult interacted with Jasprit Bumrah, who also registered the figures of 4-0-25-2 to dent CSK.

During the interaction for iplt20.com, the left-arm pacer said he had the dimensions of Sharjah Cricket Ground in mind and wanted to execute his plans with a clear approach.
"Yeah! I was very excited to be out there bowling with you and it was nice to pick some wickets from both ends. We know how early wickets in this format are important, sometimes we don't get to see this happening but here it was a nice time to see our team get the good start," Boult told Bumrah.
"We have witnessed some big scores here at Sharjah. So from a bowling point of view, I wanted to be as clear as I possibly could. We do a lot of planning about certain players but the best thing today was I had put the ball where I wanted to put the ball," he added.
In reply, Mumbai rode on Ishan Kishan’s 37-ball 68* and Quinton de Kock’s 37-ball 46* to overhaul the target in just 12.2 overs.
By virtue of this victory, the defending champions regained the top spot on the points table with 14 points from 10 games.
"It was a good day and we have a big match on Sunday and we will look to do the same thing very shortly," said Boult.
Mumbai Indians will take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their next game on Sunday (October 25).
