Defending champions Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings by 10 wickets at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah and registered their seventh win of the tournament while Chennai Super Kings suffered their eighth loss.

Earlier Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to field first. Trent Boult gave them a perfect start by removing Ruturaj Gaikwad for a five balls duck. In the next over Jasprit Bumrah removed Ambati Rayudu and N Jagadeeshan and then Boult dismissed Faf du Plessis and at 3/4 Chennai Super Kings was all at sea. MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja too couldn't do anything and got out cheaply and Chennai reduced to 30/6 in the 7th over.

Sam Curran who batted at 7 was rock solid at his end and along with Imran Tahir and Shardul Thakur and took the score to over 100 runs and eventually, Chennai finished on 114/9 in 20 overs. Sam Curran played 52 runs knock while for Mumbai Indians Trent Boult took 4 wickets. 

In reply, the new opening pair of Quinton de Kock and Ishan Kishan gave a flying start and both the batsmen kept scoring runs for fun and their unbeaten 116 runs partnership took Mumbai home in the 13th over. Ishan Kishan played 68* runs knock while Quinton de Kock scored 46* runs. Trent Boult was named Man of the Match.
