IPL 2020: Cricket fraternity reacts as Ishan Kishan slams 37-ball 68* to script MI’s 10-wicket win over CSK

MI chased down CSK's 114/9 in just 12.2 overs.

Ishan Kishan and Quinton de Kock shared an unbeaten 116-run stand for the opening wicket | IPL/BCCIChennai Super Kings (CSK) faced Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 41st match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 at Sharjah on Friday (October 23).

Opting to bowl first, MI restricted CSK to a paltry 114/9 in 20 overs, with Trent Boult (4-18), Rahul Chahar (2-22) and Jasprit Bumrah (2-25) doing the damage with the ball.

Sam Curran was the lone warrior with the bat for the Super Kings, scoring 52 off 47 deliveries, including 4 fours and 2 sixes.

In reply, the defending champions overhauled the target in just 12.2 overs with 10 wickets in hand as the duo of Ishan Kishan and Quinton de Kock wreaked havoc on CSK bowlers.

In particular, Kishan, who got the chance to open the innings in the absence of Rohit Sharma, was severe on Chennai bowlers as he finished with 68 not out off 37 balls (6 fours and 5 sixes). De Kock played the role of second fiddle to perfection, remaining unbeaten on 46 off 37 deliveries.

Cricket experts were mighty impressed with MI’s clinical chase, scripted by Kishan and De Kock.
