Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 8 wickets at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai and registered their fourth win of the IPL 2020 while Rajasthan Royals suffered their seventh loss.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to field first. Robin Uthappa gave a flying start but he got run out due to his own mistake. Sanju Samson started well but Ben Stokes struggled at the other end and resultant Samson threw his wicket away when on 36.

Later Stokes also got out for a 32-ball 30 and at 86/3 in 12 overs Royals were in trouble. Jos Buttler and Steve Smith too couldn't do well but in the end the cameos from Riyan Parag and Jofra Archer helped Rajasthan to post a fighting total of 154/6 on the board. For Hyderabad, Jason Holder took 3 wickets.

In reply, Sunrisers Hyderabad had a very poor start as both David Warner and Jonny Bairstow got out in Jofra Archer's first two overs but Manish Pandey had some other plans and counter attacked. He just kept smashing Rajasthan bowlers and put them on back foot and also got good support from Vijay Shankar. These two players added 140* runs for the third wicket and took their team home. Manish Pandey played a great knock of 83* runs off 47 balls while Vijay Shankar scored 52* runs.
