Former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Gautam Gambhir, who led them to two IPL titles, got an instant reply to his answer when he questioned Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli for his bowling change against KKR.
RCB bowled brilliantly in the powerplay and bagged 4 wickets of KKR, which is the most under fielding restrictions in IPL 2020. It was Mohammed Siraj who gave RCB an impressive start after Virat trusted him with the new ball.
Gambhir praised Kohli for giving the new ball to Siraj, who isn't a permanent feature in RCB's playing XI, but he was surprised with Navdeep Saini bowling the third over, replacing Chris Morris.

As per Gambhir, Morris had started well and Virat should have continued with him. But his comments backfired after Saini picked a wicket as soon as he completed his comment on-air.
“The brilliant captaincy that Virat Kohli had shown by giving the new ball to Mohammed Siraj, the positive captaincy and a fine move that paid off but this move surprises you,” said Gambhir.
“I don’t get the reason behind giving the ball to a new bowler to bowl the third over after Chris Morris’ first over,” he added.
Saini picked the wicket of Shubman Gill and KKR were struggling at 3/3 in 2.2 overs. Eventually, Eoin Morgan-led side could only manage 84/8 and lost the match by 8 wickets after RCB chased it down in 13.3 overs.
