Earlier Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and opted to bat first. Bangalore Mohammad Siraj gave his team a dream start by taking 3 wickets in the first 2 overs and both his overs were maidens and at 3/3 Kolkata was in deep trouble and after such a poor start they couldn't recover and kept losing wickets regularly.
Captain Eoin Morgan's 30 and useful knocks from Lockie Ferguson and Kuldeep Yadav helped Kolkata to post a mere total of 84/8 on the board. For Bangalore Mohammad Siraj took 3 wickets for just 8 runs.
