Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are facing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 39th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 at Abu Dhabi on Wednesday (October 21).
KKR skipper Eoin Morgan opted to bat first after winning the toss and his decision turned out to be a disastrous one. From the very second over, RCB bowlers wreaked havoc on Knight Riders’ batting line-up and it continued till the 20th over.
The pace trio of Mohammed Siraj, Chris Morris (0-16) and Navdeep Saini (1-23) bowled one fantastic over after another as KKR lost half their side with just 32 runs on the board. In particular, Siraj proved to be a nightmare for KKR batsmen as he picked up 3 wickets by conceding only 8 runs in his stipulated four overs.
The spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal (2-15) and Washington Sundar (1-14) also bowled economically and claimed three wickets between them.
With such a magnificent bowling effort, RCB eventually restricted KKR to a paltry 84/8 in 20 overs. Captain Morgan was the top-scorer with 34-ball 30.
Cricket experts were mighty impressed by RCB’s herculean bowling performance, led by Mohammed Siraj.
