Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by 5 wickets and this time without taking the chase to the last over. This is their third consecutive victory and in the last two matches, the game went to the final ball.

KXIP all-rounder Jimmy Neesham hit a six off the last ball of the penultimate over and finished the match. Punjab chased down the target of 165 runs comfortably after Nicholas Pooran's 28-ball 53 runs.

After the match, Neesham posted a tweet and made it clear that he was looking to finish the match before the final over. "Take it to the last over again?", wrote Neesham and attached a gif that read, "How about no!". 

Before the encounter against DC, KXIP faced Mumbai Indians (MI) and the winner was decided after two super overs. They have bottled a few chases in the final over earlier this season. 

The three back-to-back wins have revived KXIP's chases to qualify for the playoffs. They will need to win the remaining four matches to ensure a qualification without worrying about the net run rate.
