Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) captain KL Rahul politely reminded his fan that there is only 'Thala', referring to MS Dhoni after the fan also referred to him as Thala, over him running out De Kock in the first super over against Mumbai Indians (MI).

KXIP were in desperate need of two points and the match against MI was stretched to two super overs for the result. They managed to tie the first super over despite scoring just five runs. On the last ball of the first super over, Quinton de Kock was run-out by Rahul as he attempted a second run.

Rahul had to collect a wide throw from Nicholas Pooran and he did a great job to run the batsman out. The fan on Twitter replied to KL Rahul's post-match tweet and called him 'Thala'.

"A night to remember," wrote Rahul, to which the fan replied with the picture, "My Thala".

The KXIP skipper corrected his fan and with respect to Dhoni, wrote, "There is only one Thala Gajal and everyone knows who he is.".

Eventually, KXIP won the match in the second super over after Mayank Agarwal and Chris Gayle scored the required runs in just four deliveries.
