IPL 2020: Kings XI Punjab responds to Salman Khan's 6-year-old tweet after thrilling victory over MI

KXIP have now jumped to number six in the points table after a win in super over.

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday and then responded to Bollywood star Salman Khan's tweet from 2014. It has become a common thing to share Salman's tweet after KXIP's matches.

Salman had posted "Zinta's team won kya?", asking whether Preity Zinta-owned Kings XI Punjab has won the match or not. KXIP's official Twitter account couldn't hold themselves after the thriller victory and replied, "Yes".

KL Rahul and co were chasing 177 in 20 overs, and they ended up with a score of 176/6 after failing to score 9 runs in the final over. Zinta, who was in the stands, was very tensed seeing the dramatic finish.

After the win, she took to Twitter and wrote, “Actions speak louder than words as words fail me completely. Two super overs? OMG! I’m still shaking. So proud of the #Kxip boys. What a game, what a night, what a feeling Thank you @lionsdenkxip for this supreme team effort team work at its best. #MIvsKXIP #Dream11IPL."

KXIP have still a long way to go to ensure their place in the top-four. They jumped to number 6 after winning the clash against Mumbai Indians.
