After impressing one and all with his batting exploits in the ongoing IPL, Mayank Agarwal displayed his fielding brilliance during the nail-biting clash between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in Dubai on Sunday (October 18).

The game went into the second Super-Over, where Agarwal made a significant fielding contribution to save four runs for his team.

In the last delivery of the second Super-Over, MI all-rounder Kieron Pollard struck big shot off Chris Jordan towards Agarwal at deep mid-wicket. Initially, it appeared to be a six but Agarwal jumped in the air to throw the ball inside the playing area and the batsmen managed to run only two.

Agarwal’s herculean effort certainly played a huge role in KXIP recording their third victory this season.

Needing 11 runs in the second Super-Over, Chris Gayle smashed a six while Mayank Agarwal hit a couple of fours off Trent Boult as Punjab knocked off the runs in just four deliveries.
