The match between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals ended in a blistering way as Akshar Patel hit Ravindra Jadeja for three sixes in order to secure a brilliant win for his team on Saturday. It enabled DC to rise to the top spot of the IPL 2020 points table.
CSK had set DC 180 runs to win on a batting-friendly Sharjah wicket and the Capitals were helped by Dhawan's unbeaten century (101 not out) and contributions from Shreyas Iyer (23) and Marcus Stoinis (24).
However, with 15 runs needed off the last five balls, Akshar smacked sixes off the second and third deliveries of the over to all but seal the game for Delhi and then finished things off with another hit out of the ground on the fifth ball.

But interestingly, the left-arm all-rounder had already predicted this when his DC teammate Ishant Sharma had asked him that a few sixes were due from his bat on social media.
Akshar had posted on Instagram after Delhi's win over Rajasthan Royals last Wednesday – a snap of himself celebrating a wicket with teammate Shikhar Dhawan. Ishant commented slyly: “need some sixers from you Bapu.”
To this, Akshar replied, “Apna time aayega (My time will come).”
Akshar remained unbeaten on 21 off 5 balls with a strike rate of 420.
