IPL 2020: "We need to do well collectively in coming games", says RR's Jofra ArcherĀ

Archer urged his team to come up with strong performances henceforth if they are to reach the playoffs.

Jofra Acher | BCCI/IPLLanguishing in the bottom half of the IPL 2020 points table with just three wins in eight matches, it's important for Rajasthan Royals (RR) players to rally behind each other and stitch together some collective team performances in the coming games, said their ace quick Jofra Archer.

Archer, one of the bright spots in Royals' otherwise disappointing campaign thus far, believes his team must not lose hope if they are to bounce back strong and get on a roll, starting with their next fixture versus Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Dubai on Saturday (October 17).

"I think there are wins out there and we just as a team need to go out there and get those wins. We've had some good performances this year, now we just need to get together and do well collectively in the coming games," said Archer in a release issued by the RR franchise.

"We've been in this situation and before and have come back from this, so we're not panicking about this, we know it can be done and I believe in this team to do it," he added.

RR's other pacer Jaydev Unadkat said they are doing all efforts to resurrect their issues and want to make their strongest claim to reach the playoffs from here on.

"I think we've done well in phases in the last couple of games. We've lacked a bit in certain aspects which we would like to improve going ahead," said Unadkat.

"We're still in with a chance to make the playoffs, the table is still very open and the team which has momentum on their side in this crunch phase will qualify," he added.
