Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 8 wickets at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah and registered their second win of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, while RCB suffered their third loss. 

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and opted to bat first. Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal gave a decent start of 38 runs in 4 overs. Arshdeep Singh removed Padikkal for 18 runs and later Murugan Ashwin dismissed Aaron Finch for 20 runs. Washington Sundar and Shivam Dube came in to bat before AB de Villiers and this decision of their's didn't work out well as the duo combinedly scored 36 runs in 33 balls.

In the middle overs, Virat Kohli too couldn't score quick runs and after 16 overs they're 127/4. In the 17th over Mohammad Shami dismissed de Villiers for just 2 runs and Kohli for 48 runs and Bangalore was in big trouble but the cameos from Chris Morris (25* in 8 balls) and Isuru Udana (10* in 5 balls) took RCB to 171/6 in 20 overs. 

In reply, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal continued their good run and gave a good start of 78 runs in 8 overs. Agarwal got out off Chahal's bowling for 45 runs off just 25 balls. Chris Gayle who was playing his first match of this season joined KL Rahul at the crease and these two continued to score runs and both batsmen brought up their respective fifties. In the last over they needed 2 runs and eventually 1 run on the last ball which Nicholas Pooran scored by hitting a six.
