Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 29 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 on October 13 in Dubai. CSK captain MS Dhoni won the toss and opted to bat first keeping in mind the pitches getting slower at all three venues after non-stop action in the last 25 days.

CSK scored 167/6 in their 20 overs with Shane Watson (42) and Ambati Rayudu (41) being the top-scorers. Sam Curran (31), Ravindra Jadeja (25*) and Dhoni (21) also contributed quick cameos to help the team put up a competitive target. Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed and T Natarajan picked two wickets each.

SRH did not get the start they wished for as captain David Warner fell for a sluggish 9 and apart from Kane Williamson (57), no other batsman could go past 25 as wickets kept falling regularly in front of some disciplined bowling by CSK. Dwayne Bravo and Karn Sharma took two wickets each as the 'Orange Army' could only manage to score 147/8, handing the Dhoni-led side victory by 20 runs.

However, there was some controversy in the 19th over of the SRH innings, as on the second delivery, Shardul Thakur bowled the ball wide and full which Rashid Khan tried to reach but missed. Umpire Paul Reiffel probably felt the ball was a bit too wide and made a gesture to call the wide but stopped suddenly after Dhoni reacted sharply from behind the wickets suggesting Rashid had moved away and it wasn't a wide.

David Warner was also seen gesturing from the SRH dugout after what happened in the middle.
