Ahead of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) IPL 2020 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Tuesday (October 13), former Australian spinner Brad Hogg suggested the three-time IPL champions three changes to turn things in the ongoing T20 league in the UAE.

CSK has been struggling in the ongoing IPL 2020 – where the Yellow Army could win two games from seven matches so far and even it looks like MS Dhoni's team might not make it to the playoffs for the first time in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Well, there are a couple of reasons behind the franchise’s struggle in the ongoing IPL 2020 including Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, and Dwayne Bravo’s form apart from Suresh Raina’s absence and if the CSK fails to beat SRH in the 29th IPL 13 clash in Dubai, it would really make things worse for the franchise this year.

Before CSK’s all-important IPL 2020 encounter against SRH, Hogg has suggested a couple of big changes for the franchise, saying Dhoni must promote all-rounder Sam Curran at No. 3 to strengthen its batting line-up in the tournament.

He also said CSK should include leg-spinner, Imran Tahir, in their Playing XI in place of his veteran all-rounder Dwayne Bravo citing his bowling isn’t effective on UAE pitches.

Hogg said on his YouTube channel: “I would bring Sam Curran from the lower order up to No.3. That left-hander would break all the right-handers that you have got at the top of the order. And he can also play with a little bit of freedom as he has done with a lot of T20 franchises around the world as well as England.”

He signed off by saying, “I will bring in Tahir instead of Bravo. Sorry Bravo, you are one of my favorites but you need more spin in your line-up if you are going to make inroads going forward. I will keep Jagadeeshan in the team as well. It is great to see an up and coming cricketer from Tamil Nadu playing for the Chennai Super Kings.”
