AB de Villiers is in scintillating form in IPL 13.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsman AB de Villiers scored a crucial and quickfire half-century against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to ensure an 82-run victory at Sharjah. He came in at No. 4 and smashed 73 runs off just 33 balls.

His knock helped RCB to get to 194/2 in their 20 overs as skipper Virat Kohli was not finding the aggressive gear of his game. And hence De Villiers took over the smashing the bowlers to all parts of the ground role and we witnessed a brilliant knock from a genius.

The fans would've surely thought that South Africa's fortunes in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019  would have been different had he played the tournament.

Team India head coach Ravi Shastri was in awe of the knock against KKR and expressed his feelings on Twitter about watching De Villiers in international cricket again.

Shastri tweeted, "Now, that the penny has dropped. What one saw last night was unreal. And the feeling is the same waking up. @ABdeVilliers17, the game in these trying times or otherwise needs you back in the international arena and out of retirement. The game will be better off #RCBvKKR #IPL2020 "

AB de Villiers has scored 228 runs in 7 games so far including three half-centuries that too at a Strike Rate of a whopping  185.36.
