Delhi Capitals (DC) batsman Shikhar Dhawan was awarded the 'Dream 11 Gamechanger of the Match' award after their defeat against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday. The award confused fans as neither Dhawan's innings was a fine knock, nor it helped Delhi win the match.
Dhawan was not batting with the right pace in the innings and he scored 69* in 52 balls despite batting till the end. Apart from it, the southpaw also got DC's finisher Marcus Stoinis run-out.
Eventually, they looked 10-15 runs short while defending the target as MI chased down 163 runs with five wickets in hand and 2 balls left.

When Dhawan got the award for being the gamechanger of the match, many found it ironic and the Twitterati felt even the batsman was confused while receiving the award.
The official Twitter account of IPL shared the picture and wrote, "Dream11 GameChanger of Match 27 between @mipaltan and @DelhiCapitals is Shikhar Dhawan." Dhawan can be seen posing with the cheque of one lakh and Dream11 trophy.
