Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni's bat is silent this season which has raised concerns for them. With their lower order failing to successfully finish the chases, Dhoni's role is very important for them in upcoming matches.

When CSK clashed against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Dhoni had a task in hand to take on the bowlers in death overs. He managed to get one six, but soon leggie Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed him. Dhoni attempted another big hit against Chahal, but he couldn't give his full force behind the shot.

Chahal bowled a wide and full delivery to Dhoni and he lost his balance while attempting a six over the long-off. But unfortunately, he got caught by Gurkeerat Singh and had to walk back on 10 off 6 deliveries.

After the match, Chahal explained to his teammate Chris Morris about the dismissal of Dhoni. "Obviously, I thought the over to MS Dhoni was very crucial. I usually bowl stump to stump, but on the last ball, I decided to take a chance so I bowled a little bit wider and fuller, for me, his wicket is a very big wicket, the last time I dismissed MS Dhoni was in 2014," Chahal told Morris in a video posted on iplt20.com.

Morris was playing his first game of the season and he bagged three wickets in the match, while Washington Sundar got two wickets.

"It was a very special day, representing a new team in the IPL, I was very nervous. Very happy to contribute to the winning cause, doesn't matter how I do as long as we are winning. We had a good game and it was a good debut," Morris told Chahal.

"It is quite difficult to come out of quarantine and lockdown and hit your straps right away. Not many teams are doing that, we are getting better and better with every game we play. The guys are getting better and better and they are executing their skills and it bodes well for us going into the future," he added.

RCB won the match by 37 runs after Virat Kohli played a gem of an innings. He scored an unbeaten knock of 90 runs; his highest this season.
