RCB earned their biggest win over CSK in all IPL.

Washington Sundar removed both CSK openers | TwitterThe 25th match of the ongoing IPL 2020 saw when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beating the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) quite comfortably in a one-sided affair to say the least.

RCB won the toss and batted first, making 169/4 thanks to 90* from captain Virat Kohli, 33 from Padikkal, and 22* from Dube. Kohli was the anchor of their innings and pushed them over 160 with his sheer genius.

MS Dhoni’s tactics were bizarre as Jadeja bowled just 2 overs and Chahar had an over left of his quota as well. Shardul Thakur stood out with figures of 2/40.

In the chase, Sundar broke CSK’s back by removing Watson (14) and Du Plessis (8) in quick succession. N Jagadeesan (33 in 28 balls) and Ambati Rayudu (42 in 40 balls) added 64 runs for the third wicket but ate up quite a few balls in the process.

Chris Morris picked 3/19 on his RCB debut in IPL | TwitterJagadeesan was run out by Morris, while Udana dismissed Rayudu. The batsmen failed to get going in the chase.

Much was expected from MS Dhoni, but he could manage just 10 runs, though he completed 300 sixes in T20 cricket, becoming the third Indian after Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina to achieve the feat. The remainder of the batsmen tried to narrow the gap of defeat as CSK made 132/8 in their 20 overs.

RCB won the match by 37 runs, their biggest margin of the win over CSK in IPL. Chris Morris was the pick of bowlers with 3/19, while Sundar picked 2/16 in 3 overs.

The Cricket fraternity reacted on Twitter to a spiritless performance from CSK, who have now lost 5 matches out of 7 played.
