Delhi Capitals might have attained the top spot at the points table with 10 points from 6 games, but the injury concerns are still fearing them in the ongoing 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) taking place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The DC camp could have faced the threat of injury but Rishabh Pant’s great fitness saved the franchise from another shock after Ishant Sharma, Amit Mishra and R Ashwin in the ongoing IPL 2020.

Recently, Capitals’ veteran spinner Amit Mishra ruled out of the IPL 13 after R Ashwin’s recovery from freak shoulder injury which was followed by Ishant Sharma’s alleged back injury and during DC’s last IPL 13 encounter against Rajasthan Royals, Pant was on the target.

Pant had given the scare of another injury setback to the DC when he was started limping towards the end of the RR innings on Friday after completing the brilliant catch off Varun Aaron in Sharjah.

Luckily, it was just soreness due to the humidity in the UAE as both wicketkeeper-batsman and the franchise can breathe peacefully now before facing Mumbai Indians on Sunday (11 October).

Sources close to the developments told ANI: “No injury worries there. He is one of the fittest guys and it is due to the humidity that sometimes you cramp up or go sore. You can see the humidity levels here in the UAE.”

Notably, since the humidity playing a big role in the ongoing IPL 2020, the franchisees will have a biggest task how to manage the workload of the players, especially the international cricketers as some of them will be playing in Australia-India series after the league in the UAE.
