Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Kedar Jadhav is under immense pressure to deliver with the bat after a disastrous performance against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Kedar couldn't take his team to victory when they needed 38 runs off 21 deliveries.

More than the loss, it was the way Kedar batted for 12 deliveries is what made fans furious over him. He could only score 7 runs after playing the first five balls as dot. But former India cricketer Virender Sehwag feels Jadhav deserves another chance.

Sehwag wants skipper MS Dhoni to show faith in Kedar and play him against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). This could be a huge call considering CSK can't afford to lose any more games if they want to keep their hopes for playoffs truly alive.

In his show, Viru Ki Baithak, Sehwag was asked about his opinion on the Jadhav. He said the 35-year-old hasn't had a good outing this season till now, but he can do well in upcoming games.

"Jadhav has played for India in the past and is still a part of the national setup. He should be in the playing XI for CSK but he does require a little motivation from the skipper Dhoni so that he can do better. He might have flopped in one or two matches but I hope in the coming matches he will do well," he said in the video.

Jadhav has batted with a strike rate of 98.30 in six matches. He has scored 58 runs with an average of 19.33 and could only manage seven boundaries in 59 deliveries he faced.
