Mumbai Indians (MI) promoted Krunal Pandya in the batting order against Rajasthan Royals (RR) but he failed to make it count, scoring just 12 runs off 17 deliveries.
But Pandya was still trending on social media despite not being at his best with the bat. It was his facial expression that left fans in splits and turned him into a meme on the internet. Pandya looked like he is coming out to bat after taking a nap. Fans were creative enough to relate the expression with different incidents and situations.

Talking about the match, Mumbai managed to beat Rajasthan by 57 runs after scoring 193/4 in the first innings. They bowled out RR on just 136 runs in 18.1 overs. It was an easy win for them which took them on top of the points table.
After bowling, Krunal had a tough day with the ball too. He conceded 22 runs in 2 overs and went wicketless, while another MI spinner, Deepak Chahar bagged a wicket in 3 overs and gave 24 runs.
