Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) faced Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the 22nd match of IPL 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday (October 8).
Opting to bat first, SRH piled up 201/6 in 20 overs on the back of Jonny Bairstow’s 55-ball 97 and David Warner’s 40-ball 52.
For KXIP, Ravi Bishnoi was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3 wickets by conceding 29 runs in his three overs.
Defending the total, SRH bundled out KXIP for 132 in 16.5 overs, with Rashid Khan (3-12), Khaleel Ahmed (2-24) and T Natarajan (2-24) doing the bulk of the damage.
It was a listless batting performance from Kings XI as none of the batsmen except for Nicholas Pooran (77 off 37 balls) managed to cross the 15-run mark.
Cricket experts took to Twitter and lauded SRH’s dominant showing over KXIP in all departments.
