Mumbai Indians’ all-rounder Kieron Pollard had left his fans intrigued when he arrived for the IPL 2020 in UAE. He was sporting a new look in which his face was full of a thick beard, giving his already huge physique a more impressive look.
However, it seems his MI teammate Hardik Pandya has inspired him in a good way, as Kieron Pollard ditched the fuzz on the face, after taking the ‘break the beard’ challenge and posting the video on his Instagram account.
The challenge is to shave your beard and upload short videos on social media, using the hashtag #BreakTheBeard. The move is intended to break the fashion stereotype among men. The challenge is a popular one with the likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, and others participating in this trend which has been going on for the last 3 years.
IPL 2020: MI look at me and the Pandya brothers as the engine room, says Kieron Pollard
Pollard took a cue from Hardik, who he calls his brother, and turned his fully-grown stubble into a French beard and tagged Hardik as well. Pollard also mentioned Kolkata Knight Riders captain Dinesh Karthik, who also has also been sporting a thick stubble during IPL 2020.
Mumbai and Kolkata will meet at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on October 16.
