IPL 2020: Sachin Tendulkar lauds Rishabh Pant for his ‘unbelievable’ baseball shot for a six

One such shot of his even led to Sachin Tendulkar praising him on social media. The incident happened when DC took on RCB in Dubai. Pant known for his hitting prowess was looking to up the ante for his team along with Marcus Stoinis and was facing Mohammed Siraj in the penultimate over of the Delhi innings.

Siraj bowled a quick beamer directly at Pant’s head, which might have hit him quite hard and done a lot of damage. But the 23-year-old’s quick reflexes saved him, as he ducked and nonchalantly whipped the ball over the fine leg boundary for a huge six. Rishabh Pant swung his bat like baseball players do while they hit a home run.

The Rishabh Pant baseball shot was undoubtedly the shot of the match and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar also enjoyed the hit a lot as he took to Twitter and praised the young batsman for his innovation and tweeted, “That’s an unbelievable shot by @RishabhPant17!

Meanwhile, Pant made 37 off 25 balls as Delhi posted a huge total of 196/4. In reply, RCB managed just 137/9, losing by 59 runs,  as Rabada picked 4/24, while Akshar and Nortje took 2 wickets each. Shreyas Iyer's men will next lock horns with Rajasthan on Friday, October 9 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah.
