Both the openers, Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis completed half-century in the chase of 179 runs. While Watson scored unbeaten 83 runs, Faf added 87*, and both the batsmen faced 53 deliveries each. It was their highest opening partnership in IPL history.
Chennai's sixth match of the tournament is against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Abu Dhabi on the upcoming Wednesday.
