IPL 2020: Cricket fraternity applauds DC’s 59-run win over RCB; Rabada takes 4/24

Akshar Patel picked 2/18 in 4 overs | TwitterThe 19th match of the IPL 2020 saw Delhi Capitals (DC) beating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Dubai, as RCB chose to chase on a tough wicket after Virat Kohli won the toss.

Marcus Stoinis (53*), Prithvi Shaw (42), and a couple of thirties from Dhawan and Pant took DC to an impressive 196/4 in 20 overs. Mohammed Siraj of RCB was their best bowler with 2/34 in 4 overs.

In reply, RCB struggled to get going in front of a huge asking rate. Virat Kohli top-scored with 43, while the next best score came from Washington Sundar, who made 17. Padikkal, De Villiers, Ali, and Finch all failed to go past 15-run mark.

Kagiso Rabada picked 4/24, while Akshar Patel took 2/18 in their quota of 4 overs. Anrich Nortje provided great support with 2/22. In the end, RCB managed just 137/9 from their 20 overs and lost the match to DC by 59 runs.

With this win, DC went straight to the top of the points table with 4 wins from 5 matches and 8 points to their name. The cricket fraternity was elated at the clinical performance shown by Shreyas Iyer and his team and took to Twitter to applaud them.
