Delhi Capitals pacer Anrich Nortje is confident that his team is good enough to “outskill” Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 19th match of the ongoing 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 on Monday (5th October) after securing a thrilling win over Kolkata Knight Riders.

After thrashing KKR in their last IPL 13 clash, the DC managed to retain their top position in the ongoing tournament, but they will have a tough task ahead against the in-form RCB as they are heading into the contest with an unfavorable head-to-head statistic having won only 8 out of their 23 meetings in the IPL.

However, Nortje was unfazed by the threat posed by the big guns of RCB, which boosts of a formidable batting line-up in the likes of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Devdutt Padikkal in its ranks, as he feels all the DC bowlers are top-notch and executed their skills to outplay any team in the ongoing IPL 2020.

Ahead of the DC v RCB IPL 2020 clash in Dubai, Nortje has insisted that it is all about sticking to basics and executing their plans as the Capitals are eyeing to outshine Bangalore on Monday.

Nortje said in a release issued by DC on Sunday: “It’s going to be a good challenge. They have got a pretty good line-up, and have some big names. But, I think we have got a good team as well and the guys have been training really well. If we just execute our skills, perform the way we have been, I think it’s going to be a very good game, and I’m sure we can outskill them.”

The 26-year-old pacer finished with figures of 4-0-33-3, claiming the wickets of Pat Cummins, Sunil Narine, and Eoin Morgan in the challenging conditions of Sharjah to help DC to win the game by 18-run against KKR on Saturday and he was glad that the team could won the close game.

Nortje further added, “I'm just happy we could win and get the team over the line. I think the boys really bowled well. Maybe in one or two overs they got all of us, but I think in general the plans were good and everyone executed them well, so well done to the boys.”

He signed off by saying, “I think I just try to keep it basic, and not overthink things. Once you think too much about the big or small ground, and how easy it is sometimes to hit sixes you get a bit carried away, so just stick to your skills - what you have been training, and that is what's going to get you over the line.”
