Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has completed an achievement. He became the first cricketer to score 2,000 runs and pick 100 wickets in IPL.

Jadeja scored his first IPL fifty in the match between CSK and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Although it ended in a losing cause, those 50 runs did help him achieve this feat.

The 31-year-old expressed his happiness to name another milestone by his name. The new achievement would motivate him to work harder and get more runs and wickets for his team.

"I am humbled to be the only cricketer in the history of IPL to achieve the double. This will only push me to work harder and bring more glory to my country and my team. I hope that my family and the cricket-loving audience are proud of me," Jadeja said in a statement.

Jadeja has played 106 matches for CSK, 27 for Gujarat Lions, 14 for Kochi Tuskers Kerala, and 27 for Rajasthan Royals. His IPL career started with Rajasthan. He was part of the Shane Warne-led IPL 2008 winning side.

The southpaw is currently only the fourth cricketer to reach the 2,000-run mark and bag more than 50 wickets in the IPL; joining the list which includes Shane Watson, Kieron Pollard, and Jacques Kallis.
