IPL 2020: CSK CEO gives update on injured Ambati Rayudu and Dwayne Bravo

Bravo has not played in any matches for CSK so far, while Rayudu has missed two games.

Rayudu and Bravo are both fit to play for CSK nowThe Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have not had a good start to their IPL 2020 campaign as they have lost two out of the three matches they have played so far. They have faced many hurdles from members of the contingent including two players testing positive for COVID-19 and players battling injuries.

But it seems, the stars have started aligning for the MS Dhoni-led franchise, as two of their most important members of the team, Ambati Rayudu and Dwayne Bravo have regained match fitness. Bravo had suffered a thigh injury during the CPL 2020 and has not played in the first three matches for CSK, with Sam Curran replacing him amicably.

Rayudu, on the other hand, made a brilliant half-century in the IPL 2020 opener against Mumbai Indians, leading the team to a win, but injured his hamstring and missed the next two matches.

But CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan told Sportstar on Monday, that both players are now fit and ready to take part in the next match that CSK plays. “Rayudu has recovered well from a hamstring strain and will play in the next game. He ran and sprinted during training and batted without any discomfort at the nets,” he said.

He (Bravo) bowled well at the nets. We have bounced back from adversity in the past. We will do so again,” he said.

CSK next faces SRH on Friday in Dubai.
