Rajasthan Royals (RR) speedster Jofra Archer was elated after his team’s 4-wicket win over Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the ongoing IPL 2020 on Sunday (September 27), describing the thrilling record run-chase as “very satisfied”.

The English star further said he was glad that RR proved everyone wrong by successfully pulling off the highest run chase in the IPL history on Sunday since no one expected the Royals would chase the massive target of 224 runs against the KXIP in Sharjah.

The RR chased down the record target inside 19.3 overs with the help of Steve Smith, Tewatia and Sanju Samson’s fifty-plus scores. Archer also contributed with the bat as he hit Mohammad Shami for two sixes in the penultimate over and remained unbeaten on 13 runs in the team’s successful chase.

The pacer also mentioned Rahul Tewatia’s fantastic innings of 53 off 31 balls, including five sixes of Sheldon Cottrell to guide RR to a 4-wicket win over the KXIP in the IPL 2020.

Archer said in a video posted on the RR’s official Twitter handle: “Very satisfied. It was hard to believe that we would win the match against Kings XI Punjab and have some points. We were a bit slow but very glad to get over the line. The plan was just to see the ball and hit it.”

He further added, “It was very crazy. Tewatia started to strike the ball very cleanly in the over of (Sheldon) Cottrell and that is probably the match-winning over for me. I bet no one expected us to win, especially when we got to over 15. I am glad we proved everyone wrong.”
