Ahead of the 8th match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday, 26th September in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, KKR’s opening batsman Shubman Gill said his teammates are very well prepared and confident to tackle SRH’s spin attack in Abu Dhabi.
The 8th IPL 2020 clash would certainly be a nail-biting contest between KKR and SRH in Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium as both teams are eager for the maiden win in the ongoing season.
Well, the SRH v KKR clash will see an enthralling contest between the spinners of two teams apart from the batting firepower in Abu Dhabi and Gill has insisted that the Kolkata batters are well prepared to negate the spin challenge by the “experienced” SRH bowling unit.

The young batsman also hopes that the presence of left-hand batsmen Nitish Rana and Eoin Morgan will help KKR to nullify the Rashid Khan threat against the SRH on Saturday evening.
Gill stated ahead of the Saturday’s game: “The wicket will get slow and favour spinners as the tournament moves ahead. At the moment, medium pacers are getting swing under the lights initially. They have got a very experienced bowling attack. We have practiced well for situations when bowlers are at the top, we just need to bring those things to the game.”
He further added, “Everyone has practiced against spin very well and we are very confident. With Nitish and Eoin Morgan we will be in a better position to tackle the threat of Rashid and off-spinners. A left-hand right-hand combination will help us.”
The 21-year-old has also opened up about his interactions with captain Dinesh Karthik and star all-rounder Andre Russell, saying the two veterans advised him to play his specified role in the team.
He signed off by saying, “I keep on talking to DK bhai and Russell. They keep on telling me that everyone has a fixed role and they ask me to perform my role. We have a lot of variation in our team. We have got a left-arm spinner, chinaman leg-spinner and we have a nice spin attack.”
