Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Thursday (September 24) took to Twitter to laud Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) captain KL Rahul’s heroics with the bat against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 6th match of the IPL 2020 in Dubai.
The stylish right-hander has launched a brutal attack on the RCB bowler, thrashing all of them to produce one of the finest knocks in the history of IPL to led the KXIP from the front to a 97-run victory over the Virat Kohli-led RCB in an IPL 13 match on Thursday in Dubai.
The star wicketkeeper-batsman cracked a record knock of unbeaten 132 runs off 69 to take the KXIP to 206/3 while the rest of the job done by his spinners to overpower the star-studded RCB in the IPL 2020.

In his entertaining knock, Rahul hammered 14 boundaries and 7 maximums and posted the highest score by an Indian cricketer in IPL history, surpassing Rishabh Pant’s past record of unbeaten 128 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in 2018 edition of the IPL.
During the course of his innings, the KXIP skipper also surpassed the batting great and former Mumbai Indians icon Sachin Tendulkar to become the fastest batsman to complete 2000 runs in the IPL.
Following his record-breaking innings in Dubai, Rahul was flooded with congratulatory messages from his fans and cricketers all over the world and RR made the most of the opportunity on Twitter.
Congratulating the stylish cricketer, the franchise came up with a hilarious piece of advice for the KXIP skipper as both franchisees set for an IPL 2020 clash on 27th September in Sharjah.
RR tweeted, “Hey @klrahul11, brilliant innings (and celebration). Think you deserve a rest next game,”
Noteworthy, Rahul has been in sublime form in the last couple of IPL seasons, finishing among the top 3 highest run-getters in 2018 and 2019 and looks in similar form in the ongoing IPL 2020 too.
