Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has backed their death bowlers to do well in the tournament. The bowling was mediocre against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) when they conceded 60 runs in the last three overs.
But Chahal feels it was KL Rahul's unstoppable hitting which made their bowling look ordinary. Rahul scored an unbeaten 132 off just 69 deliveries and gave RCB bowlers a tough time. His innings helped KXIP score 206/3 in 20 overs. In reply, RCB were bundled out on just 109 runs.

Shivam Dube and Dale Steyn bowled the last two overs and got hit for 49 runs. "It's just the second match. In the last match, we won because of our death bowling. It's too early (to think about change). We bowled well but it a match where KL (Rahul) batted so well," Chahal told the press after RCB's defeat.
RCB captain Virat Kohli dropped Rahul twice in the match which hurt them badly. Explaining how tough it is to pick the ball in Dubai's floodlights, Chahal said, "Sometimes, it's difficult. Even in practice, even if we try, it's a little bit hard compared to other grounds."
Kohli took the blame on himself and said the drop catch did make a huge difference in KXIP's total. "I have to stand in front and take the brunt of it, not the best day in the office, couple of important chances of KL when he was set and that cost us 35-40 runs at a later stage. Maybe if we restricted them to 180 we wouldn't have been under pressure from ball one of the chase," Kohli had said.
