Star Sports paid rich tribute to former Australia cricketer Dean Jones who was part of the 'Select Dugout' panel for the IPL 2020. Jones suffered a massive cardiac arrest in the hotel in Mumbai on Thursday afternoon and passed away at the age of 59.

Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen posted a picture on his Twitter account and lauded Star Sports for their touching tribute in Jones' memory. Star Sports kept an empty chair with the coat Jones was wearing the night before his death, with his famous red book placed on the table.

Whether it was Pakistan Super League or Indian Premier League, Jones used to carry the red book everywhere he went to cover cricket matches.

As per reports, former Australia speedster Brett Lee had tried to revive Jones in the hotel after he collapsed.
