Padikkal said ahead of the exciting clash: “I am really looking forward to playing against them. We have had many good times together now we need to see what we can do against each other. We have a lot of banter in the Karnataka dressing room, I would expect the same tomorrow.”

RCB leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is also looking forward to a “good competition” since everyone knows each other.

Meanwhile, Chahal echoed similar sentiments by saying: “They have played me so much in the nets. It will be like a good competition, everyone knows each other very well and we have played together for 5-6 years. Tomorrow will be a very exciting match.”

Washington Sundar is also excited to play against his Indian teammates. He added: “I have played a lot of cricket against them. It's good to have a lot of information about them but at the end of the day, every day is different and hopefully, we will beat KXIP and make it 2 in 2. It will be very good for us.”

On the other hand, Josh Philippe said is always "nerve-wracking" playing against Maxwell.

He said, “It's always nerve-wracking playing against Maxi because he is an absolute superstar and he can smack it everywhere. Hopefully, we catch him on one of his bad days and he doesn't do too much of damage. It will be super exciting and I am sure that we will have a little bit of chat out there.”
