The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise not only lost their opening game of IPL 2020 to Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB), but they also lost the services of their all-rounder from Australia, Mitchell Marsh.
Mitchell Marsh was bought by SRH in the IPL 2020 auction for INR 2 crores and was picked in the opening match against RCB to bolster an inexperienced middle order, apart from his bowling abilities.
Marsh was handed the ball by skipper David Warner to bowl the fifth over but he could bowl only four deliveries, as he twisted his ankle in the second ball while trying to stop a drive by Aaron Finch in his follow-through but managed to bowl two more balls before hobbling out.

He also managed to come out to bat at no.10 in hopes of giving SRH an unlikely win but was in visible discomfort and it was rumored that he might miss the entire IPL 2020 due to the injury.
Now it has been confirmed by the franchise themselves on their official Twitter account and they have also named his replacement. Marsh will be replaced in SRH by West Indies’ Jason Holder, who has previously played for Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, and interestingly, for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
In 11 IPL matches, Holder has 5 wickets and 38 runs to his name.
SRH tweeted, “Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out due to injury. We wish him a speedy recovery. Jason Holder will replace him for #Dream11IPL 2020”
