Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) started their IPL 2020 campaign on a winning note as they defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 10 runs in what was a spirited performance from Virat Kohli’s men.
RCB had batted first and thanks to late overs fireworks from AB de Villiers and a debut fifty from Devdutt Padikkal, they put on 163/5 against a formidable SRH bowling. In the chase, Jonny Bairstow was leading his team to victory with an amazing knock of 61.
But then Kohli bought on his trump card Yuzvendra Chahal, who removed Bairstow and Shankar in consecutive balls after he had accounted for Manish Pandey, who made 34. This was enough to break the back of SRH’s chase, who fell 10 runs short, despite terrible fielding from RCB, who dropped Bairstow multiple times.

Chahal’s fiancée Dhanashree was excited to see Chahal getting Man of the Match for his 3/18 in 4 overs. She posted a video on Instagram of her dancing and cheering for Chahal and also had a message for her loved one and the RCB team.
