Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) co-owner Preity Zinta was left disappointed with the umpiring error which cost them a match against Delhi Capitals (DC). She expressed her shock on Twitter after the match.

Zinta questioned why technology was not used in the last match after KXIP were wrongly given a short run in the penultimate over of their chase. Eventually, Punjab ended with the same score and lost the match in the Super Over.

"I traveled enthusiastically during a pandemic, did 6 days of Quarantine & 5 COVID tests with a smile but that one Short Run hit me hard. What’s the point of technology if it cannot be used? It’s time @BCCI introduces new rules. This cannot happen every year. #DCvKXIP @lionsdenkxip", she wrote.

However, she did accept that it's time to move on from the defeat as now the result can't be changed.

"I’ve always believed in being graceful in a win or loss & in the spirit of the game but it’s also important to ask for policy changes that improve the game in the future for everyone. The past has happened and it’s imp to move on.  So Looking ahead & being positive as always", the tweet read.

Delhi Capitals' Marcus Stoinis was the Player of the Match for his fifty and two wickets on the last two deliveries of the 20th over which ensured a Super Over.

Punjab could only manage 2 runs in the super over as they lost both their wickets. It was an easy ask for Delhi and they secured the win and points.
