The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) have signed an MoU and hosting agreement to boost cricketing ties between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah took to Twitter on Saturday (September 19) to announce the same. He also shared a couple of pictures with the ECB member on his official social media handle during their meet ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 in the UAE from Saturday evening.
Shah was joined by BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Treasurer Arun Dhumal in the UAE.

The BCCI Secretary Mr. Shah tweeted: “I along with Vice Chairman of Emirates Cricket Board, Khalid Al Zarooni signed an MoU & Hosting agreement between @BCCI and @EmiratesCricket to boost the cricketing ties between our countries. BCCI President, @SGanguly99 & Treasurer, @ThakurArunS”
The ECB is all set to host the IPL 2020 in the UAE across three venues — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah with the tournament kick-off today with a big clash between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.
Noteworthy, Dubai will host to 24 games of the IPL 13, Abu Dhabi 20 matches while 12 games will be hosted by Sharjah. The dates and venues for the playoff stages will be released later.
There will be a total of 10 double-headers in the IPL 2020 and the evening matches will be played at 7:30 PM IST while the afternoon matches are due to start at 3:30 PM IST.
