IPL 2020: Rajasthan Royals’ England and Australia recruits arrive in UAE for IPL 13

Royals will open their IPL 2020 campaign against CSK on September 22.

Rajasthan Royals' England and Australian contingent landed in UAE | TwitterRajasthan Royals (RR) on Thursday (September 17) heaved a sigh of relief as their English and Australian recruits finally landed in UAE for the 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).

Players from both the countries, who were contesting in a bilateral series, arrived in the desert country from UK ahead of the IPL 2020 opener on Saturday (September 19).

Steve Smith, Jofra Archer, Tom Curran and Andrew Tye were the four cricketers who touched base in UAE.

Taking to Twitter, Royals posted pictures of their England and Australian contingent arriving, dressed in PPE kits.

“Four new arrivals. Can you guess who’s who?” RR asked in the caption.

The English and Australian cricketers will now undergo 36 hours of quarantine and the mandatory RT-PCR test for COVID-19 before they are being allowed to join the squad.

Rajasthan Royals will open their IPL 2020 campaign against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Tuesday (September 22) in Sharjah.
