Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsman Rinku Singh on Wednesday (September 16) hailed Andre Russell as the world's best all-rounder at the moment, saying no one can match the big-hitting prowess of West Indies all-rounder ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.

The left-handed batsman from Uttar Pradesh has been a part of the KKR franchise since 2018 after he was bought by the franchise seeing his tremendous performances in the domestic cricket. He has finished the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy as the highest run-scorer in the group stage with 803 runs in 9 matches.

Singh told KKR's website: “There is no one who can hit the ball better than him. He has a lot of life and strength in him. His sixes are massive and I just don’t see any batsman as a competition to him. He is the best all-rounder in the world at this moment.”

In the last IPL season, Russell scored 510 runs from 14 matches at a jaw-dropping strike rate of 204.81 and was also the leading wicket-taker for KKR with 11 scalps and would be certainly looking to do the same in the upcoming IPL 13 too in the UAE.

The 22-year-old also revealed how and when he and Russell started bonding. He further revealed: “I haven’t really spoken much with him because I can’t speak in English that well. But yeah, the first year we enjoyed a lot on his birthday in our room. We even partied and danced together. So, I guess we started bonding well afterward.”

The Aligarh-based cricketer also opened up about his time at KKR. Rinku signed off by saying, “The experience has been great. I have learned so many things. I got to play such high-level cricket with legendary cricketers. My experience also grew on how to treat a match on its merit.”
